Ms. Suchita Vishnoi is an Independent Director on the Board of Sona Biscuits Ltd. She holds an MBA from the University of Lucknow and has completed executive education programs from MIT Sloan, Columbia Business School, Cornell University, ISB, and IIM Bangalore.
With over 15 years of professional experience in marketing, innovation, and business strategy, Ms. Vishnoi brings a unique blend of analytical and creative thinking to the Board. She has worked with leading global organizations such as Trend Micro, Salesforce.com India Pvt. Ltd., and Cognizant Technology Solutions India Pvt. Ltd., where she held senior positions in marketing leadership.
Ms. Vishnoi’s expertise spans digital transformation, brand positioning, and competitive strategy. She has a proven ability to integrate emerging technologies and data-driven insights into strategic marketing frameworks.
In addition to her corporate experience, she is the Co-founder and Director of GatewAI Integrated Services Pvt. Ltd., where she continues to contribute to the growth of technology-driven business solutions. Her strategic insight and innovative mindset support SOBISCO’s ongoing efforts to modernize brand engagement and consumer outreach.
Ms. Ishika is the Company Secretary of the Company. She holds a Master’s degree in Law from Calcutta University. Ms. Ishika began her professional journey by practicing at the Hon’ble High Court at Calcutta, where she gained in-depth exposure to legal proceedings and litigation.
She has previously worked with Mamata Binani & Associates and ITC Limited, where she developed comprehensive expertise in corporate law, governance, and compliance management.
Her dual background in law and corporate compliance enables her to effectively integrate governance principles into operational frameworks, giving her a distinctive edge in managing the Company’s statutory obligations. With her thorough understanding of compliance frameworks and hands-on experience, Ms. Ishika plays a vital role in ensuring that the Company adheres to the highest standards of governance and corporate discipline.
Ms. Ishika’s structured approach, attention to detail, and strong understanding of legal and regulatory landscapes contribute significantly to maintaining SOBISCO’s reputation for ethical business conduct and transparent corporate governance.
Mr. Abhishek Daruka is the Chief Financial Officer of the Company. He is a Chartered Accountant and is a results-driven and strategic financial leader with over 10 years of experience in financial planning, risk management, and cost control, complemented by his expertise in strategic decision-making.
He has a proven track record of driving sustainable growth, enhancing financial performance, and ensuring fiscal discipline across dynamic business environments. As CFO, Mr. Daruka oversees all financial aspects of the company, including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, capital structuring, and compliance.
He excels at aligning financial strategy with corporate objectives, building strong stakeholder relationships, and leading cross-functional teams to deliver measurable business outcomes. His core competencies include strategic financial planning and analysis, budgeting and forecasting, financial reporting and compliance, cost optimization, risk management, fundraising, ERP implementation, and leadership development.
Through his leadership, SOBISCO continues to maintain financial integrity and operational resilience in an increasingly competitive market environment.
Mr. Mahesh Kumar Agarwal serves as the Chief Executive Officer of Sona Biscuits Ltd. He holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration from Cleveland State University and has over 35 years of experience in the biscuit and FMCG industry. Prior to his current role, Mr. Agarwal served as the Whole-time Director of the Company.
As CEO, he is responsible for leading marketing operations, brand management, and product strategy. Under his leadership, the Company has strengthened its marketing framework and expanded its consumer reach through a series of focused brand initiatives and category innovations.
Mr. Agarwal’s deep understanding of market dynamics and evolving consumer behavior has played a crucial role in enhancing SOBISCO’s brand positioning and portfolio diversification. He has consistently driven initiatives aimed at improving visibility, optimizing brand architecture, and maintaining competitiveness across markets.
His leadership is characterized by strategic thinking, hands-on execution, and a commitment to excellence, ensuring that SOBISCO continues to deliver value to both consumers and stakeholders.
Mr. Lalit Kishore Harlalka is an Independent Director of Sona Biscuits Ltd. and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce. He brings with him wide experience in corporate governance, business management, and financial oversight, which has been invaluable to the Board.
Mr. Harlalka’s role involves providing independent judgment and balanced perspectives on key strategic and operational matters. His sound understanding of governance practices, internal controls, and risk management contributes to enhancing the Company’s commitment to transparency and accountability.
Through his independent viewpoint and depth of business knowledge, Mr. Harlalka supports the Board in ensuring that SOBISCO continues to uphold the highest standards of ethical and responsible corporate conduct.
Mrs. Shashi Sharma serves as an Independent Director on the Board of Sona Biscuits Ltd. She is a Chartered Accountant and a Commerce graduate from Shri Ram College of Commerce, University of Delhi, with additional certifications as a Certified Treasury Manager from ICFAI and executive education from the London Business School.
She has held distinguished leadership positions, including as Managing Director of Tourism Finance Corporation of India Ltd. and Executive Director at IFCI Limited, where she was also Chief Treasury and Investment Officer.
With extensive experience spanning several decades in finance, investment, and risk management, Mrs. Sharma brings deep insight into corporate finance, governance, and compliance frameworks. Her presence on the Board adds strong strategic oversight in matters related to fiscal prudence, capital structure, and long-term planning.
Her seasoned perspective and commitment to good governance significantly enhance the Board’s ability to ensure transparency, accountability, and strategic foresight in all decision-making processes.
Mr. Ashok Kumar Agarwal serves as a Whole-Time Director of Sona Biscuits Ltd. With over 40 years of rich experience, he brings specialized expertise in finance, accounting, and procurement management.
He is responsible for overseeing financial operations, managing accounting functions, ensuring statutory compliance, and supervising procurement and resource allocation. His systematic and analytical approach has helped the Company maintain strong financial discipline and effective cost control measures.
Mr. Agarwal’s contribution extends beyond financial oversight to strategic input in budgeting and procurement efficiency, ensuring the organization’s resources are deployed optimally. His pragmatic leadership style and strong understanding of the FMCG supply chain have been instrumental in supporting the Company’s operational stability and long-term financial health.
Mr. Anil Agarwal is the Managing Director of Sona Biscuits Ltd. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce from the University of Calcutta and has over 20 years of experience in the FMCG industry.
He is responsible for the overall operations of the Company, including manufacturing, logistics, and product design. Mr. Agarwal’s expertise lies in optimizing production processes, ensuring product consistency, and maintaining supply chain efficiency. His keen focus on operational excellence has enabled SOBISCO to achieve high production standards and timely market deliveries.
Beyond manufacturing, he is also actively engaged in product development and packaging design, ensuring that SOBISCO’s products remain appealing, contemporary, and aligned with evolving consumer expectations.
Mr. Agarwal’s methodical leadership, entrepreneurial vision, and commitment to innovation have contributed significantly to strengthening SOBISCO’s brand equity and expanding its market presence across India and international markets. Mr. Suresh Chand Agarwal is the Managing Director of Sona Biscuits Ltd. He holds a graduate degree in Commerce with over 39 years of experience in the FMCG sector.
As Managing Director, Mr. Agarwal provides strategic direction and operational oversight, ensuring that the Company’s business goals align with its long-term vision. Over the years, he has been instrumental in driving product diversification, expanding manufacturing capacities, and strengthening market competitiveness.
He has played a key role in introducing new product segments, including SOBISCO’s successful entry into the noodles category, reflecting his ability to identify emerging consumer trends and convert them into growth opportunities. His leadership is marked by a results-oriented approach, balancing innovation with operational discipline.
Mr. Agarwal’s financial prudence, market understanding, and focus on continuous improvement have significantly contributed to the Company’s sustained expansion across geographies. Mr. Kailash Chand Agarwal is the Chairman Emeritus and founder of Sona Biscuits Ltd. (SOBISCO). He is a first-generation entrepreneur who laid the foundation of the Company in 1982, driven by a vision to create a high-quality and affordable range of biscuits for Indian consumers.
With over four decades of extensive experience in the FMCG industry, Mr. Agarwal has played a pivotal role in shaping the identity and growth trajectory of SOBISCO. From a modest beginning, he built the Company into a prominent name in the Indian biscuit and confectionery sector, recognized for its commitment to quality, innovation, and consumer trust.
Under his strategic foresight and values-driven leadership, SOBISCO developed state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities, established a robust distribution network, and entered new product categories, ensuring consistent growth across markets. His deep understanding of consumer behavior and ability to adapt to evolving market dynamics have been instrumental in positioning SOBISCO as a trusted household brand.
